Thats some truth right there. Looking back over the past couple years, some of my best memories were riding along side a brother or two. Theres no explaining the feeling of riding out in the open.... the way everything else seems to just fade away....no matter if theres a destination in mind.

These cold days have got to come to end soon....

Autorama....

I went to Autorama again this year... It was a good time. Saw some cool rides and some not so cool rides, but overall really enjoy just going to hang with friends...

Ended up staying down there Friday night, had a nice view from the hotel window...

I liked this little truck. I remember it a few years ago being there in all bare steel. It looks great, cool mill and real nice stance complimented with a ton of neat little fabrication....


Then the shennanigans ensued
and I met some nice folk...

This thing had fully functional Uzis and rockets....and state of the art hatchets and gizmos...Incredible.

On the ground...

For now. I had to see what it looked like with the reworked shock mounts/swingarm and new shocks. I like it. I have to blow it back apart to remodel the seat area but man it felt good to see it off the stand. My to do list is getting shorter...but so is my free time.

Not much progress as of late...Got my forks back on after a clean cut and polish. Other than that, just watching the snow pile up outside, and dreaming of the warm days ahead.

Howlin' Wolf

I love me some Howlin' Wolf... I never realized how influential he was to a lot of other artists...just to name a few, The Rolling Stones, Jack White, The Who, Jimi Hendrix and Cream all in some way covered his tunes.

His voice is so gritty and raw its righteous... You dont know the blues if you dont know Howlin' Wolf.



And to boot, he has some killer dance moves.

Thinking of days of old......

I put alot of miles on foot, and freight....all with the acompanyment of a loyal friend. I don't know why I've been thinking so much about it.....Normal moto garb will resume.

Mocked

Havent done much in the garage latley....went over and spent a day with my fellow SPIT broteens and when I got back home, I had a chance to do some work.

I got all my engine parts cleaned up and ready to go back together so I figured Id start setting up the rear...Still have a little trimming to do to get the shocks to mount and then a bunch of little things....Hopefully be back together in no time.

Still tossing seat pan and seat ideas around....and trying to figure out the oil tank and battery location.... more progress soon. Maybe

Drive By Truckers

This group is probably one of my favorites... It's hard for me to say that, because music is such a huge thing for me and I am into so many different bands... but the Drive By Truckers are one of those bands that no matter what I can get into what theyre doing. The type of group which their words speak massive amounts of truth and where all of the groups members are so musically versed it blows me away every time I listen to them. They re sound isn't for everyone, but if you do decide to check them out, keep listening, because every song has a different story and its told in a different way....
